PHOTOGRAPHY COMPETITION
The votes are all counted, and the winning entrants notified! We would like to thank everyone who submitted entries - there were many varied and colourful photographs and they certainly brightened up our waiting room! We would also like to thank all the patients who voted and help make the competition so exciting. More news will follow when presentations have been arranged. Thank you also to our sponsors, Harris and Harris of Wells.
CHANGES IN OPENING HOURS!
We are now able to offer early morning appointments with a doctor from 7.30am on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays. We also have doctors appointment available up to 7pm on Tuesdays and Fridays. All these are bookable in advance and on line.
In addition we also have some nurse appointments available later in the evening too - mainly on Mondays and Thursdays.
Our telephone lines open at 8am and close at 6.30pm Monday to Friday as normal.
We will however no longer be offering appointments on a Saturday morning.
FREE health trainer service available now!
If you would like some support in reducing stress, weight management, healthy eating, exercise, stopping smoking, sensible drinking or improving your sexual health, there is a free service run by health trainers at Fresh Steps - health.trainers@somerset.nhs.uk Tel 0800 412 5502. There are some leaflets in the surgery too.
You do not need a referral from a GP - simply get in touch with Jo O'Hagan who is our local health trainer and she will give you details of all the services they can provide. There is no charge, and they are taking on clients now with very little waiting time.
Payment by credit and debit cards - we are pleased to announce that we can now accept payments for private treatments such as travel vaccinations
by credit and debit cards. Simply ask at reception desk.
Text reminders - We can text patients a reminder of their appointments as long as we have a mobile phone number! We will not send to, or leave messages on landlines. We hope this will be a service our patients find helpful; certainly initial feedback has been good and we are happy to hear your views so please let us know if you have any comments by sending a contact message from this website or just mention to one of the staff here when you come in. We also hope it will help reduce the number of appointments wasted each day by patients simply not turning up for booked appointments, and we urge all our patients to please call us on 01749 342863 as soon as possible if for any reason you cannot attend your appointment. You may also cancel appointments using this website - look for on line requests from the home page - although we do ask for 24 hours notice if you choose that method. Thank you for your co-operation.
Appointments on line - this is a service available for all our patients . Go to the home page and click on the icon on the screen to download a form to register for this service. Fill it in, drop it into the surgery, and we will write back with details of how to sign up and start to use the system! You need to fill out a form for each person you wish to register. You can also ask at reception for a registration form.
